We are thrilled to share BIG NEWS with our community! CNYAHEC has been granted a Certificate of Approval to launch an Opioid Overdose Prevention Program (OOPP) across the 14 counties we proudly serve. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and contribute to the well-being of our communities through comprehensive opioid education and distribution of free overdose prevention rescue kits.
Our OOPP presentation aims to shatter the stigma surrounding Substance Use Disorder, fostering a more inclusive approach to recovery. We believe in supporting and destigmatizing those who have lived experiences with Opioid Use Disorder.
Through this program, you will learn how to administer Narcan, a life-saving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses. We are committed to equipping individuals like you with the necessary knowledge and tools to respond effectively in critical situations. Participate in our Narcan Training and receive your own free overdose prevention rescue kit.
Substance Use Disorder carries a heavy burden of stigma. In our Stigma Conversations program, we aim to break down these barriers and promote empathy, understanding, and inclusivity. Together, let’s challenge the misconceptions and create a compassionate environment for those on their journey to recovery.
