The Central New York Area Health Education Center and Upstate Medical University are excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for MASH Camp 2019! MASH Camp (The Medical Academy for Science and Health) is a fun and educational day camp for students to explore health careers. At camp students are exposed to a variety of health professions, covering everything from on-the-job-training to an advanced college degree. This specific MASH Camp is designed for students currently in the 9th and 10th grade and there is no cost to attend. Students will be provided food and drink as well as a pair of scrubs to wear and keep after camp! Some careers students can expect to learn about at MASH Camp are:
- Recreation Therapy
- Respiratory Therapy
- Emergency Medical Services
- Obstetrician Gynecology and more!
Camp dates are February 21 and 22 from 8am to 4pm. The camp is now full and no longer accepting applications. Please email email@example.com for more information about upcoming camps.
Hi, I have a few questions about the MASH camp:
1- Are you still taking applications for Feb 21-22, 2019?
2- When will the next camp be?
3- Can I be notified when a new camp is scheduled?
4- Are all the camps for the same age group?
Hi Lance! The applications are closed for the Upstate MASH camp. The next camp has not been scheduled yet, although we have many in the planning stages with our partners. We would be happy to add you to our mailing list to be notified when applications open for the next camp. Most of the camps are for students going into the 8th and 9th grades if the camp is held over the summer, although there may be some accepting older students–it depends on the specific MASH camp. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we would be happy to help!
Are there any dates for camps in 2020.
Hi Megan! There have not been any dates set for camps in 2020. For more information specifically about Upstate camps, please contact Kristin Bruce at BruceK@upstate.edu. Thanks!
